Focus: a little less on your mind
Sometimes you've made the plan. You just need to stop looking at the whole plan at once. Open Focus at the top on desktop, or in the bottom controls on a phone.
These tools work with your existing cards. They aren't four more task lists. You don't need all of them; choose what fits today.
Timer: stay with one thing for a while
Choose a duration and press Start. Use Choose task to link a card, or work without one. You can pause the timer.
Set aside ten minutes for a draft email. Start with a few points, then decide whether to continue when the signal sounds. More about the timer.
Eat the Frog: the task you've been avoiding
Press Choose task, then select a card on the board. On desktop, you can also drag it into the tool. Your chosen task stays in view while the other cards become quieter.
The frog isn't always the hardest job. Sometimes it's a two-minute phone call you've thought about for three days. No actual frogs are involved. Make the first step easier.
Rule of Three: what would you like to move forward today?
Add up to three tasks to the tool. On desktop, you can drag cards in from a board. You don’t have to fill every slot: one important task is enough, too.
Removing a card from the tool doesn't delete the task. Adding someone else's card doesn't reassign it to you; it just keeps the task in view. Choose your three.
Review dates: give your plan a quick refresh
The short mobile label is Review. This mode highlights unfinished tasks with no date or a past date. Cards that don't need a date review become quieter.
Open a highlighted card, mark finished work complete, or choose a suitable date for what's left. You don't have to move everything to tomorrow. Tomorrow has plans too. Review without a major clear-out.
What if you don't want a technique?
Close the tool with the cross and carry on with your boards. Focus should make the day easier, not become another task.
